Bold royal blue stripes run horizontally and vertically through the design, intersected by fine sky blue accent lines that brighten the layout with a touch of vibrancy. How it all started

Territories

Clan MacIntyre, meaning “son of the carpenter,” is a Highland clan originating in Glen Noe on the shores of Loch Etive in Argyll. They were hereditary foresters and bards to the Lords of Lorne and held their ancestral lands for generations. The clan maintained close ties to Clan Campbell, though they retained distinct identity and traditions. After losing Glen Noe in the 19th century, many MacIntyres emigrated abroad, particularly to North America.

Clan Chief

Clan MacIntyre is currently armigerous, without a formally recognized chief. The crest—a right hand holding a dagger—and the motto “Per ardua” (Through adversity) symbolize endurance and quiet strength. Global MacIntyre societies keep the clan’s history and spirit alive today.
